Sarah Simone-Stern is a Certified Kundalini Yoga
and Meditation Instructor. She is also a Certified Raw Food Nutritionist,
Chef, and Life Coach.
Her journey through life has been one of fascination. Having been
born into an artistic family, both her mother and grandmother were
members of the Israel National Opera; Sarah grew up singing with
the Opera Company. This culminated with her going overseas, and
singing with various foreign Opera Companies. She then traveled
to the United States where she performed and decided to take up
residence in Los Angeles, where she is teaching voice, and giving
master classes.
After having been diagnosed a few years ago with Crohn's Disease,
Sarah knew she would have to change her lifestyle. Her doctor prescribed
her medication of nine pills a day. Sarah felt that having to take
the medication for the rest of her life, was not an option she wanted.
Already a vegetarian, she began researching alternative ways to
best treat herself. She became fascinated with the concept of Raw
Foods, and the benefits it offered to the body.
She decided to put her body into a thorough cleansing process. She
participated in a 21 day detoxification program. This entailed not
eating any cooked or processed food for 21 days. After the 21 day
detox was over, she felt totally refreshed and without pain. This
confirmed to her the benefits of eating Raw Foods. She then began
to eat only Raw Food.
So impressed by the benefits that Raw Foods had on her, Sarah decided
she wanted to inform others about the healthful benefits of Raw
Food. She studied and obtained certifications for Raw Food Nutrition,
Raw Food Chef, and Life Coach from the Ekaya Institute of Living
Food Education.
As a natural progression toward a complete healthy lifestyle, Sarah
started doing Yoga and meditation. So impressed by the benefits
of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Sarah studied and became
a Certified K.R.I. Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher. She studied
at the world famous Golden
Bridge Yoga Studio in Los Angeles.
She is a member of IKYTA
(International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association), and Yoga
Alliance.
